Season in Review: Reed's Favorite Moments

Nov 21, 2013

ReedSorenson.com looks back at Reed’s 2013 season with “Reed’s Favorite Moments” at the racetrack this year:

1. “Meeting and forging a relationship with the folks at e-Swisher.”

Reed had the honor of piloting the No. 40 e-Swisher Chevrolet Camaro for the majority of his races this year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

At each e-Swisher race, Sorenson met fans at the e-Swisher booths set up at the racetrack or at a nearby convenience stores. Since his rookie season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Reed’s fans have been loyal and dedicated, something which he doesn’t take for granted.

2. “My 10th-place finish in the No. 43 car at Richmond.”

Driving the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports car as a fill-in for his friend, Michael Annett, who was injured in a crash at Daytona, Reed’s best finish was a 10th-place outing at Richmond, which served as his seventh top-10 Nationwide Series finish at the facility.

3. “The Atlanta race. For the No. 40 team, it was the most competitive car we had at a mile-and-a-half track this season.”

A 21st-place finish might not seem like a great run, but for a team that suffered four blown motors in the seven races prior to Atlanta, it was a big day at a fast track. The feel-good outing came in front of Reed’s family and friends, hailing from nearby Peachtree City, Ga.
